The Adventures of "King" Charlie & Friends
is a heartwarming children’s book series
inspired by the real King Charlie, a beloved
cat who found joy in every creature he met.
Each story is thoughtfully designed to teach
meaningful life lessons—such as love,
kindness, forgiveness, and wisdom—while
encouraging families to grow together
through faith-filled adventures.
THE HEART BEHIND THE STORY
Tara Baker, who grew up in a small town in
Ohio, created the series in loving memory of
her cat, Charlie.
Known for his gentle spirit and playful nature,
the real King Charlie spent his days watching
birds, chasing flies, and befriending every
creature who wandered into his world. He had
a quiet way of bringing joy everywhere he went.
Through these stories, Tara brings his spirit
to life –capturing the wonder, kindness, and
simple joy that made Charlie so special.
